Artist Spotlight: Million Young
by Monica on November 03, 2009
From the same vein as other dreamy lo-fi acts that got a bunch of blog heat this summer (i.e. Toro y Moi, Washed Out and Weird Tapes) emerges Million Young, just as spacey and beautiful as the rest but even more deserving of special notice given his sweet, synthy voice and the bassy humidity of his Sunndreamm EP. It's tropical, vibrant and warm, but filled with enough bangers to set your daydreams about flings and road trips through jungles in stone (and keep you dancing) all through winter.
I present to you my favorite tracks from his Sunndreamm EP, though the rest is available for download here. But it's most likely better to see him live - at Don Pedro's on November 22nd.
