It starts with a bang and ends with a change in the wind. Monuments are built and all the students begin counting the days until the sun rises earlier again. American football, one last hurrah, the last but not least. Altogether we're encouraged to get back to work and hibernate at the same time. Melancholy and promising with the conviction of a preacher. Rise and fall, ebb and flow, ups and downs. Enjoyment comes from an overwhelming sense of success no matter how fleeting, looking ahead down the unending road put in front of us like the best laid plans. Concrete jungle to real jungle, never ending bus rides from one village to another. We were made for this, just like this was made for us. This mix is for the long weekend.
